Visiting Ortigia Island: Access and Parking Information
You can explore Ortigia Island on foot after crossing the bridge and parking your car.
ZTL Access Ortigia is the historic center of Syracuse and the cultural heart of the city. It is a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) on certain days of the week. Access to the island is controlled by gates, with the first gate located before the bridge that connects Ortigia to the mainland.
Guests staying in our holiday homes are provided with a temporary ZTL pass, allowing access to the island for the duration of their stay.

Parking As of September 2024, free parking on the island will no longer be available. However, there are paid parking lots nearby.

Street Parking Regulations:
- Yellow Stripes: Reserved for residents only
- Blue Stripes: €1.50 per hour
Our holiday homes are conveniently located near parking areas and the main attractions of Ortigia.
Parking Rates and Methods:
- Municipal Talete Parking: €1.50 per hour or €15.00 for 24 hours ( 100 metres far from apartments)
- Season Ticket: €50.00 for 7 days. A weekly pass is available through the Municipality of Syracuse for guests staying in our holiday homes.

- Parking ticket machines at the parking lot
- Tickets can also be purchased from authorized resellers
